Like.If you buy a quarter pound of weed right & you make your employee sell it for you.How do you make a profit if you also have to pay him.Don’t you need the money to buy more product or you have to buy a bigger amount of weed in order for you get paid & he get his cut?
How do these 2 businesses make their profit? I know they put up their own money but what do they get besides getting their money back (if their clients don’t skip out on them).

I am looking to organize a fundraiser to offset costs incurred by individual players on my sport’s National Team. The national govering body for the sport is a not-for-profit organization, but this would not directly involve that organization in any way. Would a sweepstakes with “suggested donations” being payable online be legal?

I was researching and I found out that one of my competitors is actually laser engraving licensed artworks on consumer gadgets without any licenses. They laser engrave characters from the Simpsons, NFL, Nike, and other major brands and they post the pictures on their website publicly. I asked them on the phone if they had any licenses for any of the artwork they engrave and they said no.
Is it ok to laser engrave on consumer gadgets with famous brand logos and make profit?
