   My ex and I used to run an electrical contracting company and we marked everything up 50%. It’s a very competitive markup: low enough to get the bid almost every time, but still high enough to make a profit. We also bought equipment with these guys, because it lowered our payments on equipment to the point that we could afford it:. We stayed busy. Good luck on your business.
