Yard Sales, Garage Sales, Flea markets and such, what do I look for in them to make profit?

When going to antique stores, flea markets, salvage places, garage and yard sales, what are some of the items I should be looking for in order to make profits through ebay? I visited several in attempt to maybe find something then resell it but came up with very little idea what to even purchase.

Anyone got any suggestion?

  1. There’s too many different items in them to look over, so you want to specialize in one or two “lines” of things – like mayfair glassware or roseville pottery. Then research it and shop for it, talk to dealers in those items you’re interested in. Find out what they’re worth, what the market will pay, etc. Then as you go out “shopping” – you’ll have a good idea if you run across a piece if it’s a real bargain or not.

  2. Vintage items, name brand clothes, condoms, make-up. Small items =cheap shipping. Try to buy items wholesale too

  3. You need to specialize in something first and as you do you will know what to look for and will learn about other things along the way. Find something you like and have an interest in that will make learning more fun.

  4. Fridges – do you have a trailer?

Bargain hard for fridges and then put them on eBay. Definite winner as long as it works well.
