Mr Drayton, we’ve come to another pivotal, historical moment. I’ve thrown myself full time, body and soul, into building a platform to optimally leverage the technology and politics of this time frame, to improve conditions widely.
Selfport is like a crowd sourced Ashoka The two approaches are synergistic. Selfport can support many would be entrepreneurs that Ashoka can’t serve. We are developing a set of entrepreneurial tools and business plan templates, allowing for much more widespread success of social entrepreneurs.
Selfport takes a for-profit approach, so that we can model our business templates, educating by example. However, this makes Selfport unfamiliar territory to traditional VCs as well as the philanthropic community.
It also imposes on us the dreadful “stealth mode,” since many of our features could be implemented out of context, for big profit, without the social benefit prospects of using them in combination.
Development and deployment of our tools can be accomplished with very modest investment, in terms of money or time of key people. Let us show you how Selfport can serve the same values as Ashoka in a different way.
