I really like ferrets and have 3 of my own. I know there is a rescue center in Louisville,Ky but none in Shelbyville. I was thinking about starting on in my home but really don’t want it to get big were I have to become a non profit business. I would charge a fee for rehomeing my new babies can I do this? Does anyone have any tips or comments? Thanks.

Hi there…you can have a rescue, however you will be required to obtain a multiple animal permit and licenced and bond as a rescue facility which allows you to have more pets than the legal household limit in your region. Consider contacting your local Humane Society to learn how you can apply for this permit/licence.
