Band member net income each: $ 4,031.25
The band is now 1/4 of the way through its contract, has made the music industry more than 3 million dollars richer, but is in the hole $14,000 on royalties. The band members have each earned about 1/3 as much as they would working at a 7-11, but they got to ride in a tour bus for a month. The next album will be about the same, except that the record company will insist they spend more time and money on it. Since the previous one never “recouped,” the band will have no leverage, and will oblige. The next tour will be about the same, except the merchandising advance will have already been paid, and the band, strangely enough, won’t have earned any royalties from their T-shirts yet. Maybe the T-shirt guys have figured out how to count money like record company guys. Some of your friends are probably already this fucked.
Fave song off of the Racer-X LP. Grimy, trudgy beat with dark lyrics. LOVE IT
As some one who loves TG, SPK, etc, and am from Chicago, I can’t believe I missed these guys. AMAZING!
true true, so true. truer and truer. true true da true true do do.
He probably didn’t listen to the same music that Kurt did…
he didn’t have cobain’s ear for a pop hook either to be fair.
Did he? I would have probably done the same.
After all, Kurt Cobain stole from Albini shamelessly… then wanted him to produce his record. Albini would be as huge as Nirvana if he had been half as pretty as Kurt & willing to be a sellout.
click on more info, albini giving out about money and the record labels when he charged $2,000,000 to record “in utero”. chancer.
Thanks! >:P
you’re weird
I Love Big Black ^-^
Thanks For Uploading!
thanks emily - very nice song.
i think it’s not pathetic
i don’t mean it’s a good try
(good try at what? **** some of these people confuse me. guess it’s just down to appalling standards of english or poor self expression. i mean as far as producing a song goes Mr. Albini seem to have produced one and some people like it so i’d say it’s a very good try - aim achieved, ticket punched, basket dunked. so cameron. yes you, dipshit - GO AND IMPROVE YOUR FUCKING ENGLISH BEFORE POSTING).
You must be lost please contact human resources to find your mommy.
