Make your theme match your organization’s mission. Tailor it to your biggest donors. Have a particular reason that you want to collect money and a particular amount that you want to collect.
I think the rules and laws are made in each state.
Fund raisers are very expensive. Someone must pay for the rental of the space for the fund raiser, insurance for the event, the PA system, food, drinks, and entertainment (don’t expect any of this to be donated). You need to create a budget for all expenses and consider how you will pay for them — and then, on top of those expenses, how much you hope to raise for the cause.
The organization(s) that will benefit from this proposed fundraiser need to be consulted about it — is it something they want? Will it compete with their own fundraising activities? Do they have rules you will need to follow in putting such together?
I would go with a fundraiser with Tupperware or Pampered Chef with Tupperware you get 40% and all the products have a lifetime warranty.
