At least Big Oil is actually providing the labor and investment to get the gasoline to your car.

  1. Don’t believe that. Exxon made 24 billion profit last quarter. They work the books to make it look like they only make 9 cents a gallon. By the way, nice ears.

  2. Good question. As to the sources, Herb, it’s on the news. The feds make 25 cents and state makes 17-21 cents…yep look who’s greedy.

  3. when they are allowed to finally drill where it will be profitable those profit margins will go down as they are the ones paying for the drilling and pumping and making and transporting. Mean while the govt. puts out nothing and makes more per gallon plus gets a percentage around 35% on corporate taxes of profit.

  4. Sources? Links? I do not trust what the oil companies say. They are liars. Lets open their books and see whats really going on…….

  5. Because if congress could only get their hands on that 9 cents, they could fix all the problems of the country. You know more give away, more free cheese, more government, etc.
