Yahoo does offer a classified site for advertising, but I believe it will cost to advertise a business.

Marketing an embroidery service is relatively simple – my mother owns an embroidery business and I own a promotional products business.
The best way to market & build your business is gather some samples & business cards and “hit the street.” Visit all of the businesses you can and show them what you can do.

use the sba for ideas, but i say do it the old fashioned way – get out and meet people – network – join a local sba group or some other small business org in your area, meet other businesses.
i would also do a referral program since you count on word of mouth – tell your customers if they bring you a customer they get half off their next order, or something along those lines.
